On June 20, Škoda India, the Indian subsidiary of the Czech automotive conglomerate Škoda Auto, launches the Skodaverse metaverse and the Near Protocol blockchain-based NFT platform. According to the developers, the platform, dubbed “Škodaverse India”, will have a low gas commission, compatible NFTs for multi-platform use and environmentally friendly scalable NFTs.

The debut collection of Škoda NFT is planned to be launched in the near future. The advantages for NFT holders are ownership of a unique digital asset, the possibility of “value enhancement” and resale in the future, as well as access to exclusive privileges, rewards and experience related to NFT ownership.

Trading is available both in fiat and in cryptocurrencies. The developers also stated that the NFT platform represents a bold step by the company in Web3.
