Based on CCData’s data, the trading volume of centralized exchanges has decreased by 12% to $2.36 trillion, reaching the lowest level since the beginning of 2023. The data also indicates that spot trading volume has decreased by 10.5% to $515 billion, which is the second-lowest level since March 2019 (Esfand 1397). Additionally, the volume of derivatives trading has decreased by 12.7%, reaching $1.85 trillion. CCData attributes the significant decline in trading volume to the reduced price volatility of major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, which used to typically drive an increase in trading volume. The company mentioned that South Korean exchanges, such as BitHumb, Upbit, and Coinone, have increased their trading volume over the past month.
