Xsolla and BitPay have both added support for Ripple’s digital currency, enabling players to make in-game purchases using XRP.

In an announcement made on October 17 via BitPay’s X (formerly Twitter), it was revealed that Roblox, an online game platform boasting more than 200 million monthly active users, has incorporated XRP as a payment option.

Xsolla, the platform responsible for managing in-game payments in Roblox, has now introduced XRP as a payment choice, and BitPay will serve as the partner facilitating the smooth integration with cryptocurrency wallets.

Roblox is accessible across various popular platforms, including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It boasts a daily user base of 65.5 million, with approximately 44% of them being under the age of 13. During the first quarter of 2023, Roblox users collectively invested approximately $773 million on in-game transactions.

Xsolla, actively integrating crypto into its payment system, partnered with Coinchange Financial and TradeZing in August 2022 for NFT payments. In August 2023, Xsolla joined forces with Crypto.com to integrate their checkout solution. The partnership with BitPay began in 2014 when they started accepting Bitcoin payments. In September 2023, they introduced PayPal USD payments.
