GameOn, a fantasy sports platform, has forged a strategic alliance with LaLiga, the renowned Spanish football league, to create Web3 games tailored for players in the United States and Canada.
The partnership between GameOn and LaLIGA North America was officially unveiled by GameOn on a Wednesday. As per the press release, the technology company will introduce fantasy games that revolve around actual LaLiga players and matches.
Matt Bailey, the CEO of GameOn, shared his perspective on this announcement, stating that it marks the dawn of a new era for GameOn.
Furthermore, GameOn emphasized that:
“Enthusiasts will find themselves fully immersed in an unprecedented soccer experience, where they can collect playable avatars, personalize and outfit them with gear, and engage in a range of game modes including Live Fantasy, PvP Battles, and Quests.”
LALIGA, on the other hand, will actively showcase these games at in-stadium events, watch parties, on various social media platforms, mobile apps, their official website, and through email communications.
GameOn’s CEO expressed the company’s commitment to forging additional “significant partnerships” with major sports leagues, stating that the team is “confident” about securing multiple new collaborations in the upcoming months.
Putting Plans into Action
GameOn, a publicly traded technology company, specializes in the development of non-fungible token (NFT)-based games, predictive gaming platforms, and fantasy products.
The company’s primary objective is to revolutionize “fan engagement through games and web3,” enabling its partners to optimize fan involvement through NFT-driven gaming solutions.

LALIGA North America represents a collaborative effort between LALIGA and the sports media company Relevent Sports. The press release clarified that this joint venture holds exclusive rights for the football league’s commercial and developmental activities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
LALIGA encompasses two prominent competitions: LALIGA EA SPORTS, which includes 20 clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Sevilla FC, and LALIGA HYPERMOTION, Spain’s second division competition comprising 22 teams.
The press release further highlighted that LALIGA boasts a global community exceeding 200 million fans spread across 17 platforms in 20 different languages. Its worldwide audience surpasses 2.8 billion, and it maintains affiliations with 90 media partners spanning over 180 territories.
